Tom Smith Party Cracker Figurines
For a number of years George Wade & Son Ltd. supplied porcelain miniature figurines for use as the party favors in certain lines of the Tom Smith and Co. Ltd. Christmas crackers. The Tom Smith Company were makers of party crackers dating back to 1847 and were world famous. When they sold their business in 1998, Queen Elizabeth, herself, wrote a letter about the sadness of the passing of Tom Smith, Ltd., an English institution and supplier by royal decree of party crackers to the royal family.
